Western University Analytical Chemistry Poster Day 2024

For the past 33 years, Western University's Department of Chemistry has been enriching students with a hands-on instrumental analysis course. This course covers extensive training in the use of cutting-edge analytical instruments, including mass spectrometry, gas chromatography, and various chromatography and surface analysis techniques.

An integral part of the curriculum requires students to develop and present posters that discuss recent advancements in analytical instrumentation. To enrich this experience, we have traditionally invited scientists, educators, and researchers from across Southern Ontario to participate as judges in these sessions. This interaction not only sharpens the students' scientific communication skills but also enables them to engage with professionals, gaining insights into the life and work of scientists. This event took place on the afternoon of Thursday, April 4th, 2024.

This year's presentation featured 21 posters created by 50 students, evaluated by a panel of 7 distinguished judges.
